About Sofia

A delicate yet intense dancer, Sofía brings a rich background in theater, ballet, modern, and jazz dance to her tango. Her deep musicality and refined movement quality stem from a sensitive and profound connection.

Tango runs in her veins—she is the great-granddaughter of Enrique Saborido, the legendary dancer, musician, and composer of tangos such as La Morocha and Felicia. In 2006, she earned fourth place in the Buenos Aires Tango Championship, marking the beginning of her international career. Since then, she has dedicated herself to teaching and performing, primarily in Europe, but also across the United States, Australia, and Asia.

Saturday, March 1st

  • noon-1:30pm (all levels): The art of the walking embrace
  • 1:45-3:15pm (intermediate and above): Action and Reaction, the consequences of change in tone of the embrace
  • 3:30-4:45pm (intermediate and above): The technique of the giro

Sunday, March 2nd

  • noon-1:30pm (intermediate and above): The center as principal motor of circular movements
  • 1:45-3:15pm (int. and above): Musicality, retention and technique of the pivot
